Luke Menard is cancer free

Season 7, top 24 finalist Luke Menard is cancer free "It's exciting to get that news," he told AccessHollywood.com. Menard found out about his lymphoma just days after being voted off from the competion. Season Seven winner David Cook helped the singer financially during the difficult time. Luke said his hometown held benefits and fans all over the world sent small bits of money to help pay for his chemotherapy treatment. Luke has just released a new cd with his a cappella group "Chapter 6 "

American Idol season 6 finalist Gina Glocksen will be getting married on New Year's Eve to teacher Joe Ruzicka. In the wedding party, will include two fellow Season Six contestants as bridesmaids, winner Jordin Sparks and top 12 finalist Haley Scarnato. The wedding will take place in Naperville, Illinois.

American Idol attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida

"American Idol" will be opening February, 12, 2009,with an attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park in Lake Buena Vista.

The attraction is supposed to re-create the American Idol show set and production.

The attraction will enable Disney guests to experience the challenge of auditioning, performing onstage in competition or judging performances in a live interactive entertainment setting. The performer who receives the highest votes will compete in and of the day finale.
