Allison, Kris and Adam all appeared to be shocked that they made it.Adam was asked who was the one person that no one got along with.He replied that he would not say her name.He did say it was no one in his group and that his group all got along great.

Michael Johns and Carly Smithson will perform a duet tomorrow night during the first results-show telecast of American Idol's season 8 semifinals, Johns confirmed exclusively to EW.com. The pair, who only got the invitation to sing on Sunday, are still in talks with executive producer Ken Warwick about which number they'll perform.

Hi everyone well what a crazy time i've been having lately. Just in the last 3 weeks i went the Superbowl, The Grammy's then Disney for the opening if the American Idol Experience.

It was so awesome to meet and hang with all the past idols. I really made some new friends. I gotta say Jordin Sparks is one hell of a dancer haha as is Brooke White. We all got along so well and it will probably never happen again. Simon Fuller and all the folks at 19, Fox and Fremantle are just the best.


I also wanted to let everyone know that the newest edition of Playboy features an interview with me for Rock the Rabbit. Other bands include MGMT and the Kooks. I also designed a TShirt for it which will be sold in Bloomingdales across the country. Part proceeds will be going to charity of which will be ALS again.


My new single will be coming out very soon. We are just waiting to hear what the date will be. I hope all you guys will dig it. It's a very soulful song called Heart on my sleeve.


I'll update you all soon and let you know more details.

And below the long list of names, there was this:

"[EDITOR'S NOTE: It has been determined that Joanna Pacitti is ineligible to continue in the competition. AMERICAN IDOL contestant Felicia Barton has replaced Ms. Pacitti as part of the Top 36.]"

Jennifer Hudson tour kicks off Aprl 2 with Robin Thicke

Jennifer Hudson's tour will kick off her first solo tour on April 2 in Philadelphia alongside R&B singer Robin Thicke as reported by People Magazine.

The duo will co-headline a five-week U.S. tour that will wrap up ends in Houston on May 8.

"I am so grateful – my first Grammy and my first tour. It doesn't get better than that," Hudson told PEOPLE in an exclusive statement.


On the itinerary are concert stops in Baltimore, Washington, D.C, New York City, Detroit, Atlanta, Memphis, St. Louis, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Dallas, among other cities.

Grammy-winning R&B star John Legend and million-selling Latin rocker
Juanes will share the spotlight in the NBA All-Star Game's halftime show
in Phoenix on Feb. 15.


In addition, High School Musical star Corbin Bleu will sing at halftime
of the Feb. 13 Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam, and American Idol finalist
Elliott Yamin will perform at the Feb. 14 All-Star Saturday Night event.


Grammy-nominated R&B singer Tamia, wife of Phoenix Suns forward Grant
Hill, will sing the national anthem before the 58th All-Star Game, which
will be played at US Airways Center.


Legend, a five-time Grammy winner who is up for two more this year, will
perform his hit single If You're Out There, which he debuted at August's
Democratic National Convention. An NBA video featuring players urging
fans to participate in community service will be paired with the song


"I'm excited to be part of the festivities," Legend said. "I'm
particularly happy to be involved in the NBA Cares initiative.


"I wrote If You're Out There for just this kind of effort and I hope I'm
part of mobilizing NBA players and fans to give back to their
communities and think outside of themselves."


Charles Rosenzweig, NBA senior vice president of entertainment and
player marketing, is glad to have artists like Legend onboard: "For
decades, the NBA has enjoyed an extensive relationship with the music
industry,"
Rosenzweig said. "The symmetry between the rhythm of our game and the
rhythm of the music makes a perfect fit."


Legend's Phoenix appearance marks the second time he has performed at an
All-Star Game. He and country star Carrie Underwood performed at the
2006 game in Houston.


Legend will join in the NBA's annual "day of service" Feb. 13, along
with current and former basketball stars, NBA staff and Arizona fans.
Volunteers will refurbish and clean homes of Arizonans in need.


"The great thing about our all-star events is how the entire NBA family
comes together to support the community, including players, their
families, league employees, and our partners," said Kathy Behrens,
senior vice president, community and player programs. "This year, we're
pleased to have John Legend take part in our activities, which
underscores his commitment to community projects."


This is the first all-star appearance for the Colombian-born Juanes, who
has won 17 Latin Grammys and has enjoyed commercial success in such
non-Latin markets as North America and Europe.


Juanes is known for his social activism. He established the Mi Sangre
Foundation to help those injured by anti-personnel mines in Colombia and
elsewhere, and has been honored for his fundraising for that cause.


Bleu starred in Disney's High School Musical and its sequels.


He debuted as a pop singer in 2007, and his single Push It To the Limit
reached No. 15 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. His second album, Speed of
Light, is due in stores in the spring.


Yamin, who finished third in America Idol's fifth season, hit No. 3 on
the Billboard 200 album chart in 2007 with his self-titled debut CD.


His hits include Wait For You, One Word and Movin' On.


Joining Yamin at the Feb. 14 event will be R&B singer Kevin Rudolf, who
will sing Let It Rock, which recently hit No. 5 on the Hot 100 chart.


Canadian-born Tamia has released three albums that have topped 500,000
in sales.


Her successful singles include Stranger In My House, Into You (featuring
rapper Fabolous) and Can't Go For That.


Suns center Shaquille O'Neal will introduce players before the All-Star
Game, accompanied by music by two DJs.


Phoenix has hosted two other NBA All-Star Games. In 1995, R&B singer
Brandy performed. In 1975, Andy Williams sang the national anthem.


Last year's game drew a global TV audience of 85 million.

American Idol's winners Carrie Underwood and Jordin Sparks were featured in pretaped portions on Katie Couric All Access Grammy Special. In between the guests, they had series of questions for Grammys nominees. Carrie was about being a vegetarian and Jordin mentioning an embarrassing moment she had on the Idol Tour.

Season 8 of American Idol continued tonight. The show was one hour with the next round of Hollywood Week. 75 of the 147 left made it to the next round in Hollywood. 104 were The show continues next week continuing with Hollywood.

American Idol Tuesday Night Ratings

Fox's "American Idol" and "Fringe" ruled Tuesday night with both shows posting gains from last week.

Launching its Hollywood rounds, "Idol" (26.3 million, 9.9/25) climbed a tenth and is expected to increase a little more in the nationals. This marks the second week of growth for the reality hit. "Fringe" (13 million, 5.1/12), which popped 9%, also impressed.

Season 8 of American Idol continued tonight. The show was one hour with the start of Hollywood Week. 147 people made it to Hollywood. 104 were left at the end of he hour which was Hollywood Week Round one.The show continues on Wednesday contining with Hollywood Week.

Jennifer Hudson To Tour in 2009

Jennifer Hudson is planning a tour this spring. After impressing viewers with her Superbowl performance in her first appearance since her family tragedy.

Her manager Damien Smith tells EW.com that Jennifer will be headlining a theater-sized tour in late March or early April. He says, "Everybody stay tuned. You'll be seeing a lot more of her." Jennifer will be performing this week at the Music Cares Event and The Grammys Awards.

On to Namm... What is NAMM? It stands for the National Association of Music Merchants. Basically it is this HUGE music convention where all these different vendors come together at the Aneheim Convention Center here in Southern California and it quite literally attracts thousands of music types. And let me tell ya, the music types are a real colorful and diverse bunch, they come in all shapes and sizes. If you are into people watching, this is the place for you! Wowsers, I think I pretty much saw it all. Some of the attire choices that people were sporting made me chuckle, and this is why I love artists... out of the box.

This was my first NAMM show experience. I actually very fortunate to have an endorsement from Yamaha for their amazing keyboards and pianos. And with Gibson for their legendary guitars. These instruments are my tools, very important in the process of creating these songs from the ground up, having such quality is a blessing. So I went to NAMM to go visit their booths. So I stopped by the Gibson booth, and when I arrived, I had no plan on singing anything, after a long week of writing, recording and talking, my voice was wiped-out. Sure enough, first they they asked me was "so are you gonna sing something?!"... uh huh, well I shouldve know...you should always be prepared to sing something, so I performed with a very rhaspy voice and shaky hands I played the guitar and sang "you're so vain", which I haven't played in ages, but it went just fine. Then they informed me that it was going up on their website...woo.. alright... keeping it real:)

Jennifer Hudson shoots new music video

Jennifer Hudson has just shot a new music video. Story below is from People.Com


Jennifer Hudson has already announced some public performances – but the singer is back at work, filming the music video for her new single, "If This Isn't Love."

Hudson is shooting the video, which is expected to debut the week of Feb. 9, in Los Angeles.

The song comes from the singer's self-titled album, which garnered her four Grammy nominations, including best R&B album.

"So much has happened but she's ready [to perform again]," a source tells PEOPLE. "It's a new year, she's excited about performing. She knew it was time."

American Idol Ratings- Wednesday, January 28, 2009

The “Lie” drain comes despite lead-in “American Idol” (27 million, 10.1/25) improving. After some worrisome slippage last week, Tuesday’s “Idol” matched last Wednesday’s. And now last night’s has climbed 3% above that number. The “Idol” performance ties the singing competition’s same night last year. If the number improves slightly in the nationals, like Fox expects, it means that despite all those “’Idol’ has declined” headlines, that for first time this season an “Idol” episode will be higher-rated than last year.

Fox won the night, followed by ABC (which also aired a “Lost” repeat at 8 p.m. that includes those distracting “pop-up-video” style “ 'Lost’ for Dummies” plot explanations).


UPDATE: In the nationals, "Idol" climbed to a 10.2 as expected. "Lost" went up a tenth, to a 4.9, while "Mars" sank further, to a 2.1. Couric dropped to a 1.1. "Lie" was unchanged.
